Charity: Spoudazo Enterprises Trust
Cindy has a Diploma in Children’s Services and is currently completing her Bachelors Degree of Education (Foundation Phase). She has also been specialising in one on one education for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder for 4 years. She has also been incorporating technology to help facilitate each child’s learning experience with the use of internationally recognised techniques including BrainGym.
Cindy will be working as an educator at Spoudazo Enterprises Trust, in Bloemfontein. The purpose of the trust is to enhance the interests of the poor and vulnerable, to further their interests and well-being by means of providing them with welfare, humanitarian assistance, health care, land and housing, education and development services.
They desire is to serve the poor and the needy in these areas by building the bridge between business and community and to use the registered public benefit organization, Spoudazo Enterprises Trust, as the platform for this important integration.
Children with autism and other disabilities flock to the centre.
Cindy will be working with the children on an individual basis to excel their self-help skills related to health and safety, assist with education in collaboration with their schools, parents and therapists. She will also be monitoring their progress through active record keeping on a daily basis.
One very important aspect of Cindy’s work is to empower the parents of the children by doing home visits and assist them in the development and cooperation of their children.
