Charity: SHAWCO

Shortly:

Baveena Nathoo is a 24-year-old who holds a Bachelor of business science (Hons) degree in marketing and a BComm (Hons) in financial analysis and portfolio management. She chose SHAWCO as the NPO of her choice after volunteering at the organisation for four years. Baveena has availed her services to SHAWCO in order to research, market, fundraise and assist in establishing its library and education resource activities for each SHAWCO centre. She will also be utilising her financial and analytical background to help map indicators and collect empirical data. Nathoo is personally inspired by what she believes to be a tangible benefit of volunteering, which is the inevitable relationship that develops between volunteers and those they assist.

My Project:

  • Developing a youth programme to help keep young people off the streets during school holidays
